Operation Hope is a newly established mental health program local to Monmouth County, NJ. The founders, Brooke Lichter and Sara Velez, both clinical social workers and equine specialists, understand the life-changing properties of equine psychotherapy. They cater their services to anyone 12 years and older who has a history of mental health disorders. More specifically, Brooke and Sara have founded a Scholarship Fund for veterans and first responders– a fund established so that they can receive free care. This fundraiser, in particular, is to raise money for both Operation Hope’s Scholarship Fund and Bluemont Sanctuary, the sanctuary farm hosting this event.
